The problem:

floatysocial logoSharing your social network profiles needs to be interesting, and work well on mobile devices.

Social icons are often just a static icon linking to a page, which isn't exactly exciting or inviting to visitors on your sites.

The solution:

Floaty Social creates a pure-CSS set of tabs which float in and out when hovered, displaying links to your social media profiles.  Tabs are automatically hidden if you don't enter the URL.

Do you support Joomla! 1.5?

No, we don't support Joomla! 1.5 any more.

How does it work?

floatysocial activeSocial profiles are added in the module configuration, which are then shown when the module is published (to any live position on your template) as tabs, attached to the right hand side of the screen, which expand by 'floating' out when the mouse cursor hovers over them.

What happens on a mobile?

On a mobile device, the tabs automatically dock to the bottom of the viewport, and they don't fly out - instead you click on the icon for the social network and it directs you to that page.

What networks do you support?

You can see from the image to the right the networks we currently support, we're adding new profiles all the time though, if you've got one you need to add just let us know.

Where can I see it in action?

We use Floaty Social on this site - just check out the floating icons on the right hand side (or on the bottom of the screen if you're on a mobile!)

How much does it cost?

Floaty Social costs £5+VAT (where applicable) which gives you access to download all updates and receive support for a period of one year - you can install Floaty Social on as many domains as you like, and we will support you on as many domains as you need.

Following this period you can continue to use Floaty Social (still on as many sites as you like, we don't ever lmiit that) but if you need updates or support you will need to purchase another subscription.
