Our resolutions for 2014

Written by

As many of you will be aware, we’ve been through a pretty tough patch over the past year, and some aspects of our business have been a little rough around the edges. We’ve been working pretty hard over the past few months to put together a sustainable plan to carry us through the coming years, which we wanted to share with you.

First and foremost I have to apologise for the rather patchy service we’ve offered over the last twelve months. We haven’t released many updates for our extensions, and at times our support response time has been below the high standards we set for ourselves. These are two areas we’re focusing on at the moment to improve and develop in the coming years.

Ruth Cheesley

We are delighted to offer a special coupon for JWC13 delegates which will provide you with a 25% discount on all of our products.

Simply use the code JWC13 at checkout to redeem the coupon.  Don't wait too long though, it's only available for one week - so make sure you order soon!

If you're at the event, do come and say hello, look out for Ruth - you can't miss her!

Virya Software are delighted to announce that we will be attending the Joomla! World Conference this year, in Boston, Massachusetts. Director Ruth Cheesley will be speaking on all three days covering a wide range of topics, from how you can gain meaningful information about your website to provide business intelligence and the latest developments in semantic markup, through to how you can support Joomla! in your local area.

As part of our continuous effort to give you a better experience, we have just migrated our customer support processes to Freshdesk (www.freshdesk.com). We strive to take full advantage of the powerful capabilities and best-practices in Freshdesk, to give you a better support experience.

Virya Software are pleased to announce that we are in the process of transitioning to a new support system, which we hope will give a better experience to our customers and allow us to manage support across all of our products and services in one central support portal.

It is with great excitement that Virya Software announce we will be sponsoring the second Joomla!Day Kenya event, being held in the capital city of Nairobi on 2nd August 2013.

Joomla!Dagen is happening this Saturday and Sunday (20-21 April) and Director Ruth Cheesley will be representing Virya Software as a speaker at this popular well-attended Joomla!Day event.

Virya Software are delighted to announce the imminent release of Virya Cookie Monster (VCM) - a Joomla! extension which assists developers, designers and site owners in complying with the EU Cookie Laws. (read full details here - PDF file)

From 12th May 2012, all UK companies registered with the Information Commissioners' Office (ICO) must be in compliance with these laws - failure to do so could result in a fine of up to £500,000, so this is really something that must be taken extremely seriously by all organisations who have a website.
