As some of you will have noticed, we've been rather quiet of late on our news feed - so here's a little update on how things are progressing!
In April 2014, Virya Technologies and Blox42 joined forces to create a Joint Venture company - Virya Group Limited - which has effectively taken over the day-to-day running of Virya Software. After some re-organisation and operational shake-ups, the team are now stable and working on bringing new and updated extensions to the market.
As many of you will be aware, we’ve been through a pretty tough patch over the past year, and some aspects of our business have been a little rough around the edges. We’ve been working pretty hard over the past few months to put together a sustainable plan to carry us through the coming years, which we wanted to share with you.
First and foremost I have to apologise for the rather patchy service we’ve offered over the last twelve months. We haven’t released many updates for our extensions, and at times our support response time has been below the high standards we set for ourselves. These are two areas we’re focusing on at the moment to improve and develop in the coming years.

Virya Software are delighted to announce the imminent release of Virya Cookie Monster (VCM) - a Joomla! extension which assists developers, designers and site owners in complying with the EU Cookie Laws. (read full details here - PDF file)
From 12th May 2012, all UK companies registered with the Information Commissioners' Office (ICO) must be in compliance with these laws - failure to do so could result in a fine of up to £500,000, so this is really something that must be taken extremely seriously by all organisations who have a website.
