HTML Map version 2.4 has been released to fix a problem with the creation of Search Engine Friendly URL's. One of our users reported that there was a problem with the way in which the URL was being generated, causing less than ideal URL's to be generated.
Following feedback from several users we have set up a basic demo where you can see what HTML Map 2 is capable of, on a Joomla! 1.7 platform.
You can access the demo at http://demo.viryasoftware.com/htmlmap2/
Please continue to provide any feedback via the forums, we are keen to develop this extension further.
As you may have noticed, we recently launched Virya Software - part of Virya Technologies where we release our software and share other resources.
Our first release is a re-written for Joomla! 1.7 extension - HTML Map 2. This was re-written due to a client requiring this on a 1.7 site, however we can see the benefit of opening it up to others (as we've already used it on three other sites since commissioning the work!
We were caught a little on the back foot, as we weren't expecting the submission to the Joomla! Extensions Directory to be approved quite as quickly as it was, so please bear with us as we get everything up and running. The following are top of our priority list:
- Screenshots of the extension, swiftly followed by
- Demo of front and back end
- Documentation on setting up the component, module and plugin
